Rebuild New Orleans?
Let me state that I empathize with the victims of Hurricane's Katrina and Rita. I've sent a check to the red cross (not much but what I could) and hope if you're reading this you have as well.
What I don't understand is why do people feel the rush to rebuild down there? It's a city that is 20 feet beneath sea level. It's a city that has been overdeveloped so as to erode the protective marshlands. It's a city that relies on a levee system only designed to protect against category three hurrircanes. (and with global warming, many experts believe stronger hurricanes will become more frequent.
I say help the people out as much as possible, but don't simply let everyone rebuild in exactly the same spot where another devistating hurricane is likely to hit. Otherwise, we may just revisit this terrible scene in another decade or two.

adding to the comment kel left you, andrea is my sister. and yes she does have some issues I will admit, and she is a little spoiled, but you have no clue about our mother and you have no idea about the things that have happened in our lives because of her. She loves us but says some nasty things, and andrea says some nasty things but loves her just as much. Not every family is like the brady bunch, and not everything is all sugar and sweet. I think it is wrong for you to judge a kid based on something she writes in when she is emotional and needs to get things out. She is a kid. Maybe she was acting like one by saying those things and not being understanding, but dont write her and offend her based on that alone. I'm sure you remember being young, and how everything seemed worse than it was now that you can look back. She isnt to the stage where she can look back and see that things werent that bad yet. Give her time before you ridicule her.
